There's Something in the Water
"Looks like it's that time of year again," Carmen remarks taking a large breath of the cool morning air. She looks out on the ocean, which is now nearly completely pink. "I may not like going into that salty water, but I do like to admire the color from a distance."
Every February the ocean water becomes concentrated with newly born skrill on the hunt for nutrition which has them digging away in the coral reefs and ocean floor searching for algae and salt deposits which all combine to bring this unnatural color to the waters directly around the island.
It is not recommended to stay in the water for too long as the water is extremely concentrated with salt plus you never know when a school of skrill will come along and start nibbling at your fur.
During February all Eggs have higher chances of having special traits and all Isolings hatched from eggs will too!
Skrill will also be more plentiful this month!
Keep on the lookout for more eggs and Isolings to appear in The Daycare.
EXTENSION:
- There are a lot of eager members who want to court their isomaras during this event and hatch them to see some lovely special children, so we are extending the amount of time you have for submitting egg-hatching forms.
- This extension is for all aspects of the event (skrill increase, chance to find egg increase, and submitting hatchings), except for submitting courtships.
- Courtships need to be submitted before March 1st if they want to still qualify for this event. But if you got an egg you now have until 11:59 pm MST on March 2nd to submit any hatching forms to the Import Edits journal, explorations eager to get more skrill or hopefully to find more eggs.
