Colorful Currents
The seagulls chirp gleefully, soaring above the pink currents of the ocean. Earlier in the month storms had taken over the island causing large waves to crash against the shores. And with the excessive rain to add to it a large area of rocky shoreland has now become a tide pool housing an abundance, yet limited amount of crustaceans, mollusks, and small fish. Isomara have come to the tide pools for a quick and easy harvest, but it seems one Isomara by the name of Aycorn is there to stop overfishing.
“Aye, hold on there, I can’t let you go in. Look you’ll catch all the skrill and scallops in the pools in just a day.” He sighs and continues “Let your companions go instead. They catch what they can and bring it back to you. You get plenty for yourself and the numbers in the pools can remain stable.“
Although Aycorn is not forcibly blocking any Isomara from entering the pools he is respected largely due to his wealth of knowledge about agriculture and the close-knit subjects of horticulture and aquaculture. Everyone seems to agree with Aycorn and have decided to leave the tidepool fishing to their companions.
Tide pools have formed along the shore and are filled with an abundance of skrill and other sea creatures.
During this event, players can send their companions out for a chance to bring back a variety of items every day.
Event Guidelines & Information:
- You must own a companion to participate (you do not need to own an Isomara)
- Up to 3 Companions can be entered a day
- If adding art up to 6 Companions can be used a day. Art must contain all companions being entered
- Art must be fullbody (at least 75% of the character showing)
- Art must be colored (shading is optional)
- Art must have at least a simple background and depict the event in someway

Colorful Current Environment Bonus
During Explorations:
- Skrill will be more abundant and common
- Jumbo Skrill are available to find as a rare drop
- Kelp will be more common
- Squid and Lobsters will be less common
- Shark, Seagull, Crab, and Skrill creature encounters will be more frequent, watch out the waters are dangerous!
Each companion entered will receive an individual roll. The available loot that can be received is as provided:
Tide Pool Loot Table
- 5 Seashells
- 1-10 Skrill
- 1-3 Kelp
- 1 Clam
- 1 Scallop
- 1 Crab
- 1 Tilapia
- 1 Sand Dollar
- 1 Jumbo Skrill
Once the event is over the Tide Pools will become another game/activity similar to Queen’s Cache and some items from this table may be removed and amounts changed.
Oh, What’s this? Hasha seems to be visiting the Tide Pools. She seems a bit displeased.
“That geezer won’t let me into the tide pools.” she says giving Aycorn a stink-eye “I don't want any of the stinky fish or clams!” Hasha huffs. “Look I don’t have any companions. Do you think you can help me out? I’m continuing my research on the relation that skrill have to the color-changing ocean water.” she throws a hand out to the obvious pink water. “If you could bring me some skrill it would really move my research along.”
Participate in this event by collecting skrill through the tide pool and explorations then if you want to assist in her research go forth and donate your skrill here.
Hasha is working diligently to discover the secrets of the correlation between skrill and the colorful water.

500 Research Points are needed for the breakthrough by end of the event
1 Skrill = 1 RP
1 Jumbo Skrill = 10 RP
Everyone who donates at least 25 skrill to Hasha during this event will receive the research breakthrough reward if the goal is achieved by the end of the event!
A single player can only donate a max of 100 skrill and 5 Jumbo Skrill towards the research breakthrough.
Players can continue to donate even after the research goal has been met!

THE RESEARCH GOAL HAS BEEN MET!
Hasha has created a body wash that can grant Isomara and Companions the Chameleon Special Trait!
...the only backfire was it took her days to figure out how to change her coat color back.
"I've created a concoction for the chameleon trait!" shouts Hasha. "...Chameleon Concoctions' a long name though..." she brings a paw to her lip and looks down at her table which is just a tree stump. "Oh, I'll call it Camo Scrub."
Thanks to the Isomara community for donating over 500 skrill to assist Hasha in her research. Everyone who donated at least 25 skrill during the event has received 1 Camo Scrub.
