Details
Three isomara are seen in an assembly line creating mochi. Carmen, the daycare manager, beats away at the dough that Aycorn helps create by mixing rice and water, while little Deus is molding the beaten mochi and wrapping it in kelp. They seem busy, but are taking the time to invite and teach fellow isomara how to create the iconic treat. Try your hand at all or just one of the processes that makes mochi ready for consumption.
The process of making mochi starts with well washed rice that is then warmed up (usually steamed) then pounded continuously until a dough is formed. While pounding the rice, hot water is added to assist in the dough forming and to keep the rice malleable. Once a dough, mold it into small balls and fold a leaf or kelp over it.
