Updates, Changes, & Fixes since Update 8.1. This journal outlines additions and changes to the Isomara Island ARPG since the previous update. You may be familiar with some of the topics below. At times, we announce new features immediately in Discord, and we want to ensure the entire community knows the latest news and fixes.

🐈‍⬛ Memora Traits

🦤 Memic & Blepper Traits

  • New Stenciled and Patterned pad pattern traits
  • New Bluff, Hill, Wedge, and Sliver pad shape traits added
    • If you have previously designed an ultra memic or blepper MYO slot you are allowed to freely update the design once to apply these new traits

🥚Isomara Courtship - Egg Design

  • The passing of colors and markings to generate eggs from a courtship has been changed and expanded upon to grant more variation in potential offspring design
    • You can find the new summarized and in-depth break down on the Isomara Courtship page
      • Previous/Old Egg Design Breakdown - Click to Reveal
        • 30% chance to have color and/or markings of parent A
        • 30% chance to have color and/or markings of parent B
        • 20% chance to have color and/or markings of both parents
        • 20% chance to have color and/or markings of neither parents

🦤 Memic & Blepper Traits

🟢Trait Rarities

  • Back Leg Fins and Front Leg Fins for Isolings have been changed from the N/A rarity
    • Having these traits set to N/A rarity could cause confusion during the MYO design process, as these two traits can become two different rarities depending on the isomara's wing type when an adult. We've decided to default these traits rarities to as if the isomara was to become a swimmer (small-winged) isomara. If the traits need to be updated when the isoling becomes an adult, that is fine.

🔷Trait Categories

  • Recategorized all special category traits to other trait categories
    • You can see the changed in the trait index
    • This was causing some confusion, as "special" was a trait rarity and trait category. Also, some special rarity traits were in other trait categories than the special trait category
    • Special (Birth) will remain a trait category currently

🤠Equipment & Accessory Categories

  • Equipment, custom accessories, and official accessories now have subcategories based on where they normally would be adorned. This allows players to equip more equipment and accessories to their characters. Currently, there is a limit of one kind of equipment and accessory per character, this is to prevent characters overloading the same or too similar of items on a character for insane buffs. All current equipment and accessories have now the following added categories:

🏝️ Exploration

  • Increased minimum word requirement to 500 per exploration (previously was 400)
  • Added FAQ section to bottom of the page

🥕 Hunger Mechanic

  • Increased hunger meter reduction when exploring from -10 to -20 HP per character
  • Increased hunger meter reduction when voyaging from -15 to -25 HP per character
  • Added "+1 additional chance to find a new item loot roll reward on voyaging submissions" as a new stuffed hunger buff
  • Altered buff and debuff text from "+/-#% chance of finding items. (Common, Uncommon, and Rare items all become more/less likely to be found while exploring)" to "+/-# additional item loot rolls rewards per each item on exploration submissions"
    • How exploration reward rolls has changed since the site's creation and this was a remnant of the old script/code

🤢 Infliction/Ailments

  • Added "-1 loot roll to all items when exploring" as an effect of Joint Pain
  • Changed Dehydration effect from "Isomara will refuse to consume anything besides a cure." to:
    • " -1 loot roll to all items when exploring"
    • "Cannot explore the ocean or coral reef biomes"

🫧 Miscellaneous

  • Increased mushrooms needed for mushroom soup crafting recipe from 5 to 8
  • Mushroom soup now cures Dehydration and Frostbite
  • Goom Orbs have been changed from directly being a 1 to 1 Common Goom MYO Slot to being a loot table that when opened can either grant you a Common Goom MYO, Uncommon Goom MYO, or nothing.
    • As goom orbs are a findable item and can be received in multiple different ways, we decided instead of nerfing the drop rates of Goom Orbs to give the ability to get a higher rarity goom MYO while also having the chance at no MYO.
    • In lore gooms lay many eggs, some are empty and are meant to act as decoys to predators, and we wanted to reflect that
  • Hallows month is soon, use code AutumnArrival to receive some goodies

🛠️Fixes
  • Added missing links and fixed spelling/grammar errors on Isomara Courtship page,
  • Coral was incorrectly listed as available to drop from the ocean biome,
  • Buttons on the Queen's Cache and Tide Pools not centered,
  • Fixed that sometimes players are unable to adopt characters from The Daycare if multiple currencies are listed and the player has one or more of the currencies,
  • Fixed missing and incorrect links on the player dashboard page,
  • Fixed a broken link and various spelling/grammar errors on the Exploration page

🐛Known Bugs

You can find the full list of known issues here. These are issues that have been reported by players or noted by staff and have not been resolved yet, but are on our radar.

New issues on our radar:

  • Ink is unable to be crafted
  • Additional mobile formatting issues
  • Formatting and readability issues on Rainbow and Goom Site themes
