Updates, Changes, & Fixes since Update 8.2. This journal outlines additions and changes to the Isomara Island ARPG since the previous update. You may be familiar with some of the topics below. At times, we announce new features immediately in Discord, and we want to ensure the entire community knows the latest news and fixes.

Upcoming Staff Vacations

All Isomara Island ARPG staff will be on vacation on the following dates. There will be no updates during this time, and all reports, submissions, and claims in the queue will be on hold during these times:

💪 Double Stat Gain Event - UPCOMING

• Starts on November 25th; Ends on December 7th at 11:59 PM
• All training submissions will earn double the stat gain during this time
  • There will be an optional bonus daily activity for players to earn even more stats for their isomara. Stay tuned!

Changes

🥕 Hunger Mechanic

• Added debuff to the starving status
  • When an isomara's hunger reaches zero (0) they will be unable to participate in any activity, prompt, or event until they have at least 1 hunger (the character can be included in artwork/stories, but will not factor into any rewards or be eligible to earn rewards which includes but is not limited to: stats, items, and experience).
• Courtship Tradition prompts (date prompts) now reduce hunger by 10 (previously was 3)
• Snow item now grants -1 hunger points (previously was +0 hunger points)

🤧Infictions & Ailments

• The percentage chance of certain items curing an ailment when used/consumed has been removed. Now, using/consuming said item will always cure at least one instance of that ailment, and some items can cure more than one instance of an ailment. We took notice that some isomara were accumulating a lot of a single ailment.
  • Honey has changed from "35% chance to cure a bee sting" to "cures one instance of bee stings"
  • Avocado has changed from "5% chance of causing an Upset Stomach" to "Causes one instance of Upset Stomach ". Avocado item description now clearly states cures one instance of both Scurvy and Joint Pain.
  • Filler Smoothie cures three instances of each of the ailments: Dehydration, Scurvy, and Upset Stomach
• These items can now be used as cures from your inventory:
  
  • Ice
  • Honey
  • Snow
• Aloe Vera no longer cures splinters
• Ramen now cures dehydration and frostbite (three instances each, too!)
• Snow no longer can cure dehydration
• Tomatoes no longer cure joint pain
• Tomatoes no longer have a chance to cause an upset stomach

🍑Item Categorization

• All items under the Specter Fruit category have been moved to the Edible Category
• The Specter Fruit category has been renamed to Designer Fruit
• All fruits that can alter the color or markings of characters have been moved from the Edible to the Designer Fruit Category

🫧 MYO Slot Shop

• Common MYO Slots now have unlimited stock
• Increased purchase limit of uncommon myo slots from 1 per player to 2 per player

🫧 Miscellaneous

• Some of the clues for the insect scavenger hunt have received some clarity and updates. We know some of you have been having a hard time sniffing out the bee.
• Added a line of text when selling items from inventory that informs players of the player shop
• Use code FallB00n to receive some seashells

🛠️Fixes

• Added missing item descriptions to various items,
• Fixed some image overflow on mobile devices
• Fixed the empty companion box on isomara profiles. Now correctly says "no companions".
• Fixed blepper and goom images being swapped on the traits index
• Added many links to the MYO Character Design Guide, where certain text references other parts or relevant information
• The Character Design Guide has reached many updates, including clarification, links, and added information. This document is still a work in progress.
  • The oldest feral and anthro adult standard isomara bases are now available for download to use. Keep in mind, as these bases were made in 2014, many traits are not available and will need to be drawn yourself.
• Purchasing redesigns can now be accomplished by buying a manemi fruit item from the MYO Slot Shop. There are other ways to procure this fruit in the game, but you'll have to discover how.
• Minor visual UI fixes and cleanup
