Hatching an Isomara Egg

Nurture the Egg

For an Isomara egg to hatch, it will need to be cared for. Create an image, story, or craft of the egg being cared for by at least one adult isomara (Ask for permission before using someone else's character or use the NPC's Carmen or Frio). Depict the adult isomara caring for the egg in some way, like warming the egg, washing the egg, keeping a watchful eye on the egg, etc. See the Egg Nurturing Prompt for artwork and literature requirements.

  • You can use an Incubation Energizer as a substitute for the artwork/literature. When submitting the prompt.

Once your submission to the Egg Nurturing Prompt has been approved, your egg will receive its rolled traits. After receiving the traits, you can begin designing your hatched isomara.  If your Isomara egg was created from a MYO Slot, you will still need to complete this prompt even if the character's traits were already chosen during the MYO creation process.

What do Isomara eggs look like, and what will my isoling look like when it hatches?

Isomara come in a wide range of colors and markings, and so do their eggs. When you receive your egg, you will also have the color palette with the egg's accurate colors.

Eggs reflect the colors and markings that will be on the isoling inside. Traits, however, cannot always be guessed by observing the egg's shell. Traits are passed down from parents. Common traits such as the long tail and average ears are more likely to be passed if one or both parents have the traits. A cool aspect of traits in isomara is that over time hybrid traits have appeared. For instance, the scorpio tail is a hybrid of the puff and long tails, so if one or both parents have a long or puff tail, there is a slim chance the child could have a scorpio tail.

When designing your isolin,g you may rely on your egg's color palette and markings shown to design it. You may add small amounts of white and light cream colors as free colors. An egg's design is rolled first based on color (does it have colors from both parents, parent A, parent B, or neither parent). Then rolled for markings (from both parents, A, B, or neither). You can learn more about the specifics of passing down traits and markings through the courtship information page.

Designing your Isoling

[This section is a rough draft and still being refined]

Once you have your rolled traits, draw your isoling with its traits, and color it based on the color palette provided. The markings on the egg are meant to be used as inspiration and do not need to 100% accurate or copied directly onto the isoling. You may also add some minor additional markings and large splotches to your isoling that are not depicted on the egg.

  • You have the option to draw the isoling art yourself, have someone else do it, or commission SlayersStronghold to draw the hatched isomara on the official isoling lineart for you.
  • The price to commission the staff member, SlayersStronghold, is $10 (USD), 10 Sand Dollars, or 2,000 Seashells. Reach out to Slayer through this forum thread to order an Isoling Growth art commission.

Egg F.A.Q.

Q. How do I get an Isomara egg?

A. Eggs can be earned through Isomara Courtship, adopted from The Daycare, created from an Isomara MYO slot, randomly through exploration, and sometimes, events reward eggs.

Q. Is there a limit to the number of eggs I can own

A. You cannot own more than six (6) eggs at a time. This is to encourage players to hatch their eggs instead of storing them. There is no limit to the amount of characters or MYO Slots you can own, only isomara eggs.

Q. How big are isomara eggs?

A. Isomara eggs are 6-8 inches in circumference (4-5 inches long) and weigh around 3-5 pounds when first laid. Isomara eggs will grow as the isoling inside grows and the egg's shell hardens as they approach hatching time.

Q. If I hatch my egg, can I add hair to my isoling's head?

A. Yes, you can certainly add head hair to your isoling!
