To Catch a Culprit!

The investigation goes on; Sherbyte had seen her fair share of sea life, and micro biomes, but nothing such as this rocky labyrinth she had discovered earlier. While still sore over the fact of having to help a wild Goom from those cursed wild seagulls, it did help gave her something to do in the pastime. There was another thing that did troubled the stripy orange individual, and it was that strange thing that grabbed, pulled and bumped the iso's face against the rock and coral clusters. 'As if getting hackled by seagulls was not good enough...' Thinking to herself; wrinkles subtly forming on the bridge of her snout out of contemplative frustration. Sherbyte figured that the bubbling she had spotted within the crevasse of between the rocky, coral clusters would hide a creature of sorts; one that likely thought that she was food, but had pulled in more than it can chew that made it decide to leave the iso whole and at one peace...perhaps with a slight bruising later, but that was beside the point.

What the orange iso had in mind as of now would be to try and trap the creature in question; a netted lure would probably suffice, now the bigger question is 'A netted lure filled with what'? Sherbyte had to think a little hard about it...until a thought dawned to her. '...Wait! If I remembered correctly...there were some remnants of shell left behind around the creature's den...and they look like it were pieces of skrill!' The more the orange iso let that thought mulled about in her head, the more she thought of the said creature being an invasive species of sorts...But that couldn't be true...Right? She didn't want to waste much time with what little evidence that she had, and had to work on creating a net bouquet on the spot.

Having to make use of what resources are around her in the deep blue, she grabs what little, but decently sized kelp that she can find. Once she did, Sherbyte had to carefully weave them to an eccentric pattern; one in where she had to be mindful about each gap within the net...making sure that it wasn't too big for the creature in question to slip and squeeze through. The extra tricky part was finding a decent amount of skrill swarming about; fascinating enough, there were quite a bit of numbers that delved in the deeper parts of the ocean in comparison to the tide pools...perhaps this is where most of them now reside, due to a change of conditions? Nope, the orange iso again didn't want to think too much on it until her task in capturing the strange creature was knit tightly into her paws. it was a bit of a memic chase, but Sherbyte had managed to gather a decent amount of the vibrant red crustacean.

Success! Now it was time for the bait placement; it had to be placed decently close by the den of the creature, but not too close to where it would make a dart back into crevasse, no...Sherbyte wanted to catch it; to bring some convincing evidence that this could be the reason for why the skrill population by the shallows and reefs were stunted to but mere hatchlings. Carefully stringing down the bait bouquet closer towards the den, the stripy orange iso waited in baited breath...and if she were out of the ocean waters, one could say that the iso in question would be sweating like a stressed Goom. It wasn't long until she spotted some bubbling activity rousing out of the den, the stringed bait firmly in her paws. 'This is it!' With her thoughts cheering her on, Sherbyte immediately reacts the moment she saw a blur dart out from the rocky coral cluster, holding and pulling the stringed bait!
