[E-Mountain] looking for home

Corrin cautiously took every step before Toad could, looking ahead for any spare rocks or anything in their way. Today they decided to see if they were satisfied with the mountainous terrain had to offer, but they didn’t really expect it to be such a trek to what they were looking forward to.

The mountain tops around this season were lined in a thin blanket of snow, leaving their prints behind into the cool rock. Most of the mountains were completely sky-piercing deposits, ridges peaks, and summits that drop almost like cliffs, but the allure of the fog-covered balconies just drew Toad in particular in.

To be honest, he dragged Corrin here…

The paths were quiet, the roadways upward thin and scary seeming. Corrin and Toad had picked up a few things that drew their eyes on the way up, but clearly Corrin was still nervous considering how stuck-up his posture was.

Toad was dawdling behind him, expressed by the view just east of them. While Corrin was raised astute on a mountain-side cave, he had never considered going back to stay. But the two of them were finally looking for their first place.

Toad gasped suddenly, making Corrin turn completely around in confusion, “Look at this rock! So pretty, isn’t it?”

The ocean blue Isomara sighed a long sigh, narrowing his eyes and flipped his muzzled back forward, “Leave it, there could be any animal’s grime on it.” He was clearly grumpy, in Toad’s eyes at least, but once they left the narrow stairs of the side, they reached what they were looking for:

A flatted plain off the side of the mountain; not enough to reach the clouds but enough to see almost all of the world from up here.

Toad smiled, nudging the side of Corrin with his shoulder, “Not too bad right?”

“Cold,” Corrin said blankly, planting his behind into the snow-covered grass, “Are you sure this is the spot?”

“Well, it doesn’t need to be.” Toad replied, taking a seat right next to him, “Honestly, I just wanted to see what I was missing up here.”

“…not much. Just a bunch of rocks and dead grass.”

Toad sighed another sigh at the mood killer, taking a moment of silence. Once the fog cleared a bit like curtains to a play, he pointed out a small inlet area of trees.

“Look at that there!” he said, standing to his feet to get a better view, “Righhhhttt there is perfect! See the trees? And its still near the mountains.

Corrin grumbled, “Gosh, we’re going to be searching for millennia.”
